01 / Me:
Stylist, photographer, cookbook author and blogger at callmecupcake.se
Based in Halmstad, Sweden
02 / What do you want to communicate with your styling?
My wish is to communicate a nice feeling, and hopefully bring a smile to someone’s face and a growl in the belly 🙂 Hopefully people feel inspired when they see my work!
03 / What are you working on at the moment?
I’m working on my 4th book at the moment. It’s been a pretty long process and I have a hard time focusing on several projects at the same time so that’s really all I’ve been doing lately. I’m going to finish that first and then I’m planning to take on a few carefully chosen freelance projects. Then we’ll see.
04 / Main influences right now:
05 / Future plans:
I try to take one day at a time, which is both good and bad I suppose, but I’d love to open a small shop/café at some point. Hopefully sooner than later. I would also love to work on more fun projects in general, things that I really enjoy.
06 / What is a perfect still life for you?
Well, the old Dutch masters pretty much nailed it. Both the florals and the food still lifes. Can’t beat them!
07/ When style what are focusing on?
Honestly I try not to think or analyze too much when I’m styling. I do what feels good in the moment, what looks good and what makes sense. Though sometimes it doesn’t make sense at all I guess… Styling for me is much more a feeling than something I can explain or put my finger on. Of course, one thing is that the food actually has to look appetizing. That is something I try to think about no matter what I shoot.
08/ If you had to choose one lens which one would it be and why?
I would choose my Canon 24-70/2.8 because it’s so versatile and sturdy. Since getting that one, I don’t really need or use anything else. It’s great for travel too.
